These "Jolisa" Boutique 9 (by Nine West) cowgirl boots could be a pretty good alternative to the Golden Goose ones i've been lusting after. . . They've got the all important side-zip and the cobalt is really calling to me. . . all you'd have to do is darken up the stitching and run over them with your car a couple times . . .
If you have small feet (5.5-7) many colors are available for only $59.99 HERE
if you don't have tiny fairy feet you have to pay more . . . they are available for $72 in blue and brown HERE
Steve Madden's "Vestted" boots are also a nice looking alternative to the Golden Goose... available HERE in black and brown for $69.00
mmmm These Frye "Heath" full length outside zip boots are f-ing unreal!! Available HERE for $200
J.D. Salinger died yesterday at 91 . . . It's insane that the last work of his was published back in 1965 in the New Yorker Magazine!! Imagine all those amazing stories he has piled up on his desk, unpublished.
After a lot of procrastination I finally moved into my new studio space. For the past year I had been working/making jewelry out of a spare room in my house . . . but after realizing that it would be a lot healthier/more exciting to leave my house and go somewhere to work on my jewelry, I bit the bullet.
The space is part of a studio art collective a couple miles away from where I live. . . My studio is surrounded by other artist collective spaces, a coffee shop, a natural grocery, a bread company that gives HUGE samples, and a great thrift store . . . not to mention it's only a short walk from where I go to yoga. This spot is also sweet because it's only about 1/4 mile away from my dad's metal shop (where I have unlimited access to every tool imaginable) . . . and at $90 a month the rent is pretty hard to beat.
I'll take some photos of the new space soon . . . the images below are of my office after removing all traces of jewelry making . . .
