I did a little Wang inspired DIY this morning. . . I used conical studs from StudsandSpikes.com and a razor blade to set the holes. . . all you need is a bag with a flat-ish bottom and off you go!
Oh my gosh, this is fantastic! You've completely inspired me. Surprisingly, I've never thought to try and replicate a bad through DIY. I'm going to buy a ton of studs and also do jeans and blazers. Love it. thebeautifulfool.blogspot.com

How did you get the bottom of the studs to be flat like that? I don't see them on the site... all have points.
