With the influx of the recent t-shirt craze it's pretty easy to get lost in all the options. . . And it's also hard to imagine spending close to $100 on a tshirt. . . Amanda Kain, the face behind the label Kain, is dedicated to producing all of her clothing right in LA. . . no children with pricked fingers working here.  Using a 90% modal and 10% cashmere blend the tshirts are insanely soft.

Rackk and Ruin and Chickdowntown.com are doing another Giveaway. . . This time it's for one of Kain Label's signature tees ( the Tri-Cuff Tee in white).   It's actually the exact tee i posted about the other day!!

This tee would be the perfect basic to add to your wardrobe. . . to be eligible to win all you have to do is leave a comment (with your email address) telling me why you love Kain Label soo much.  Easy right? (Contest ends July 29th)

(This contest IS open to all my international readers!! )

To be honest, it is hard to love Kain because the clothes are absolutely wonderful, but not something I can open my wallet for. One day when I am rich I would love to buy all the necessities from Kain because I think that is what they do best. That's why I love this oversized tee.. all i want to do is wear it with leggings and brown boots.. One day!

I had the pleasure of trying on a Kain pocket tee once...

it was true love

... the resurrection of one of my father's tees that he had as a teenager in the '70's that broke down after 10,000 washings but was so soft at the end that it felt expensive on the skin

Kain reinvents the classic tee in the most transcendent way. simple and fresh in luxurious material, brilliantly draped, with details that are both practical and one step ahead (those pocket tees that spawned a million knock-offs--too die for).

I dream of wearing a Kain tee while bombing a big hill on my skateboard...

it's one of the last warm summer nights
i'm eating lemonade popsicles and my skin underneath the pure white fabric is the colour of
sand in the sun

seriously, how many "basic tee-labels" are there? I don't see why everyone is trying so hard when we actually only need one - Kain! Those tees are amazing.

I appreciate the way that Kain can take a classic garment (i.e. the white tee, the skinny tank, the pocket t-shirt) and smooth out the lines a bit, adding a painterly flow to the sleeves or an unexpected sheerness to the fabric.

I LOVE the Kain Label because it is simple. With the right accessories the simple white tee can become an edgy fashion foward look. I also love that anyone can pull of his clothes. It doesnt matter if your tall, short, white, black, big or small because the simplistic of his clothes can be worn by anyone.

Last week I bought a really expensive white t-shirt, and then I went out for a night with this boy, to eat sushi, and oooops, guess what happened? I dropped a
sushi role in the soya sauce, and there was soya all-over the place, my new t-shirt was destroyed (not to mention my selfesteeme) I walked home - ALONE, with brown spots down myself.. Therefore, this would be the perfect end to the story, a brand new amazing t-shirt from Kain... It would be insane !! :)

these tshirts drape and hang off the body to create the most alluring yet simple silhouette. thats what i love about tshirts like these. anyone can wear one as a basis to their outfit, whatever their individual style. and they've got the 'just slept in' softness and look which makes these tshirts all the more perfect.
