UPDATE: Thank you so so much to Anonymous for the info!! I am still in New York and so i went to Dashwood Books today and picked up the Beautiful poster!!! The owner of Dashwood said he knew the woman in the photograph, Alice Stone (i think he said Stone. . . but i can't find anything on her, he said she was in a band. . . . ), and that it was in fact a real tattoo.
So excited to get this poster home and frame it!

this is actually a lady too, i think her name is alice, shes english. the tattoo is done by the lady from 'london ink' ive forgotten her name.
