UNTIL DEATH

About two months ago a friend of mine asked if i would make her and her boyfriend's wedding rings. . . I was totally psyched, and scared, by the prospect of making something so meaningful for two people. . .

They wanted simple gold bands with a hammered and brushed finish. . . I've never taken a jewelry class but i'm lucky enough to have a friend with a pimped out jewelry studio who gave me access to everything he had, and some pointers along the way. . . It's pretty exciting to think that these rings will be worn by two people as a symbol of their commitment. . . I've never been one to get all sentimental about marriage or weddings, but it's pretty cool when you think about it.

now these are gorgeous. i think you have a good eye and there is a lot of potential but many pieces just don't seem particularly original. an old key tied to a leather string? just doesn't get me excited.

These are super cool, I'm sure your friends will love them, especially because they were made by you...

The day that I get married, I want to have rings JUST LIKE THAT to bedazzle my fingers. I love that it's not just a simple gold band that's polished to perfection. The nitty gritty textures to it makes it almost seem like there's this coating when reflecting the light.

These are beautiful rings! And so are your jewelery. You are mightily talented - won't be surprised if someone picks up your line of jewelry!
