THIS IS WHAT I GOT. . .

This is what i ended up with when I attempted to bleach my hair . . . Vitamin C and creey Gummo kid's love child. Ew. Now i have a twisted image of them doing it in my head. . . in that dirty bathtub water, with spaghetti and a melting chocolate bar for desert. I think the all these chemicals have started to get into my head.
I took the image above during the initial bleaching round. . . I was definitely going for the Gummo movie cover here. . . I probably should have realized that when i used a "highlight" kit on my entire head, instead of individual strands, something like this might result. Oh well, always the experimenter. The two images below don't even do my Vitamin C hair the justice it deserves. If my hair had ended up looking more like Leeloo i might have kept it for a couple days. . . but alas i wasn't that lucky. . . .
Below is my current state. . . hair full of Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner. . . . waiting and waiting and waiting. . . hoping all that brassyness magically disappears so that i don't have to be too self-conscious for my waitressing double tomorrow.

I'll post the results of round two tomorrow. . . wish me luck (and white highlights)!

listen mama,

just keep bleaching, keep keep bleaching. Maybe give yourself like a week between so that the oils in your hair can replenish themselves. Then do a SERIOUS deep condition.

you hair will feel like noodles when wet, but it will be whitey.

You know, i don't find that the initial result was really that bad... if anything, you should just go get it fixed at the salon, it might prevent hair loss from too many treatments... just sayin!

TONER! I have my hair bleached for me at a salon (cause the first time I did it myself I got the same results as you and was terrified of doing it again), But what I've learned there is that you bleach and then tone to get the brassiness out of there, oh and use a blue toned shampoo to keep it that way. I use Aveda's blue Malva, it's pricey but lasts FOREVER! Good luck <3

Ooh I've been through this - goodluck! What I do seriously recommend is Aveda Blue Malva conditioner, it's a general livesaver & totally worth every penny (bonus of smelling rad). I use it as a masque and even as a leave in conditioner for the most perfectly imperfect hair.
