He literally chewed the back panel of leather right out of them. I was thinking about trying to replace the leather but with warmer weather on the way i might just wear them as is.

Not cool...I don't miss those days when my dog would chew everything!
One day he pulled cd's out of their case and chewed them into tiny pieces!
Maybe you could salvage the boots by cutting off the tops?
