SUMMER'S LAST HURRAH

In a week our little Lake George haven is being torn down.  Eric's grandparents bought the camp back in the 1950s and it's pretty much remained untouched/un-updated ever since. . . you should see the floral wallpaper and "exposed beams" made of styrofoam!  Well, all retro things eventually must come to an end, and in this case, the end is also a beginning.  The house will be rebuilt on the same footprint as a four season one - which means we'll be able to find refuge in the winter as well!  Looks like i'll need to pick up ice-fishing and cross country skiing!  The house will hopefully be finished by the end of May and although i'm going to really miss its funky feel, it will be amazing having a place to enjoy for many more years.  We are very lucky.

Elmer's love for Lake George is pure and true.

Eric teaching his little bro a thing or two about target shooting with an air rifle.

Eric smoked us some chicken wings for the evening cruise
