WINE COUNTRY

The second day of my San Francisco trip my sister Alden and I drove up to visit Scribe; her friend Andrew Mariani's winery in Sonoma(which he founded in 2007).  Alden has been working at their amazing member events for the past few years and it was really great to finally experience the place for myself.

we quickly stopped into the Fremont Diner for their famous honey/butter cornbread before our tasting. . . it's tacky to get wasted at a wine tasting you know!

impromptu photo shoot in the soon to be restored hacienda on the Scribe property

The hills are alive with the sound of music!!

I just HAD to buy a bottle of the 2008 Cabernet that we had tasted.  Sadly I didn't know that United would be charging me $25 for my now needing to be checked bag. . .

It is magical post. More looks like you've been visited Provence than CA, especially those pictures with wine bottles on the tables and vineyards on the back ground. Fascinating!
