OXBOW
These dreamy Oxbow summer art school photos were taken by Wallace Kirkland for LIFE Magazine in 1948, the summer before my mom was born. Oxbow, in the Saugatuck area of Michigan, still exists today acting as "a respite for artists from the industrializing havoc of Chicago."
