viola, a vest is made
a few weeks ago i bought this leather jacket on ebay (the before photos are the ebay ones) and when it came in the mail it just fit all kinds of wrong. . . so i vestified it. and i loveee the outcome.
i removed the sleeves, took in the sides, removed the front and back leather flap/vent things to reveal the side pockets and narrowed the shoulders (reattaching the shoulder flaps when done). I'm really happy with the outcome and i can't decide if i wanna do any studding action. . . I kinda like that this vest isn't as crazy as my leather fringe vest (that also used to be a fully fringed jacket before i got my hands on it). Maybe i'll leave it as is for now.

nice job, i dig it
Looks great!
how do you finish the seaming on this and what needle do you use to sew leather? i have a coat i'm dying to take in at the sleeve/sides.
thanks for the sewing info.
i just type in the labels onto each post. once you've used a label once it saves it so the next time you can just click on the appropriate label for your post.
there should be a box on the right side right below the text box when you create a post. if the label box isn't there maybe somethings wrong with your blogger set up and you should try blogger help or googling it.
hopefully this helps.
great job- i think you wore this in NYC, right?
Well it looks much better as a vest, imo :) and the reason is mostly cause you rock it soo well!
