steampunk

the term "steampunk" wasn't invented until 1987 but the idea has been around since the late 50s. Authors suck as Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Bram Stoker, and Mary Shelley greatly influenced what is known as steampunk today.  Datamancer, who creates the laptops below, uses the term "paraphrenalic technofetishism"  to describe their art.
