Pitchfork Farm 2009

Yesterday was my first day back in the greenhouse on the farm (Pitchfork Farm here in Burlington, VT). . . seeding onions, chard, kale, broccoli, kohlrabi. . . looking forward to the warm days of summer ahead. . .
the image below is my boyfriend Eric (the farm's creator) and I stringing up our massive garlic harvest for curing last fall.

Amazing! I envy your proximity to fresh produce. I wish I could grow everything I would ever need in my backyard...but alas- my backyard is a 4meter radius patio.

You are a farmer, too?! I love you! Have you ever read "Garlic is Life" by Chester Aaron? It's a great book...pick it up if you haven't already read it!
