Vampira

After seeing the top two images on the amazzzzing blog Sweet Sacrilege  i immediately did a google search for more images/info on Vampira (Maila Nurmi) . . . 

Nurmi, a Finnish-American actress, created the campy character of Vampira in the 1950s. 

"Before Elvira, before Morticia Addams, there was Maila Nurmi, the pioneering queen of sexy, spooky goth. She developed a following as Vampira, host of a short lived namesake weekly 1954 TV show in which she introduced horror movies. . .
