About Alice and Olivia

The Alice and Olivia label encompasses a wide range — women's ready-to-wear, childrenswear, menswear, shoes, handbags, home and yogawear — and is sold worldwide.

In 2002, former Penn classmates, Stacey Bendet and Rebecca Matchett founded Alice + Olivia, naming the line after the first names of their mothers (Proenza Schouler anyone?)

That year, the pair showed Bendet's first designs to fashion-industry insiders and celebrities at the Russian Tea Room. This collection introduced the label's signature low-rise, slim-fitting "Staceypants" in bright, funky patterns.

For spring, Shopbook has created an Alice + Olivia lookbook comprised of 5 "urbane safari" looks.

The sequin hot pants and they leather hot pants are both AMAZING. However, if I had to choose my favorite item of theirs, right now, it would have to be the Pacey Button Down Shirt. So pick me! Cause, "do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?" (sing that in the Shrek gingerman cookie voice) haha im weird...

P.s. thanks for this! I love me some shopbop

Brianna Beaded Crochet Shrug

I love this piece, it's perfect to throw over top to dress military shirts up!

PS I loved the Brazilian DJ's that came to Montreal. I had been to Brazil about a year ago so I dragged my friends out for it and we all had a blast. Keep us canadiens posted!

I think i'd get the Pacey button down shirt..pretty basic but you'd wear it forever, with your cut offs in summer and your leather skinnies in winter.

What a great giveaway! I love all things Alice and Olivia, I've just never really been able to afford the line. But this should really help me out. If I won, I would totally get the tie dye drape skirt or the chain necklace. They're both so edgy. Can be worn with pretty much anything.

I immediately fell in love with Fallon Drop Waist Dress! I'm all for complex geometries, and the color is just the right one. What I also like is that it's a great coctail dress, but I still don't have to feel uncomfortable in it (because it's so my style, so minimalistic). I would do much with it, just wear a pair of heels, some bracelets and a wicked hairstyle!

i love so many things in there aswell..i was about to choose the one shoulder sequin dress, since a piece like that would remind me and make me dress more ofetn in a more feminine-sexy-cool way, but they only have it in large.
this enables me to choose the most beautiful piece, the Brianna Beaded Crochet Shrug!
thank you for this great giveaway.

Oho amazing! Okay so I quickly decided it would be impossible to choose a favourite from their amazing range of clothes, so I immediately hopped over to accessories. I'm smitten with the Multi Chain Necklace in gold, because it creates the perfect clutter without having to go through the trouble of piling up a dozen necklaces only to get them entangled and unable to detach them from eachother again.

i would say my favorite piece is the draped wraparound cardigan in taupe:

http://www.shopbop.com/drape-wraparound-cardigan-alice-olivia/vp/v=1/845524441859665.htm?folderID=2534374302030059&fm=browse-brand-shopbysize-viewall

It seems very comfortable, soft and versatile, like wearing a scarf and drapey sweater at the same time. It would look great layered under a leather jacket, vest or army coat in the winter or fall and nice on its own with some denim shorts and kick ass sandals and a tank in the summer...overall its just a very wearable piece of clothing which is something we all need.

I've recently worked through many insecurities with my body and come to see it as a unique canvas. This newfound confidence has inspired me to take pride in my wardrobe.

The Wrapped Goddess Dress in Pale Pink quickly caught my eye because it's light and gorgeous! I could "toughen" it up with my leather jacket or keep it whimsical with silver or tan heels.

It's just a beautiful dress that would mirror the brand new energy I have for myself and life. Thank you for the opportunity!

Also, if anything looks like it was made for prancing around it, it's the Chevron Dress with Tie.

By the way, happy birthday Molly! :)

The Ellie dress is insanely hot. It makes me think of a Bond girl after a fight. The gash out of the left side and the elastic strap across the back and the zipper teeth gone crazy along the left edge of the racer - it's perfection.
